Oklahoma schools seek $480M more
State education leaders are asking for funding to extend the school year by two days.
Members of the state Board of Education approved Monday the nearly $3 billion budget for the 2010 fiscal year to present to the governor and state legislators. The budget, for the fiscal year that starts July 1, is an increase of about $480 million over the current budget.
