Oklahoma Senate test ahead for English measure
A Senate panel on Wednesday advanced a measure to make English the state’s official language.
The Senate Rules Committee passed House Joint Resolution 1042 by a 9-6 vote. The measure would allow Oklahoma voters to amend the state constitution to make English the official language of state government.
