NORMAN — A car driven by Oklahoma senior defensive back Kass Everett collided with a motorcycle police officer Friday afternoon, sending the officer to the hospital, according to a news release from the Norman Police Department.

The collision was on Jenkins Ave. south of Brooks St., adjacent to OU’s football stadium.

Officer Brandon Wansick was transported to Norman Regional Hospital for evaluation, and Everett received a citation for failure to yield while making a left turn.

Everett, a Phildelphia native, signed with Oklahoma in February 2012 out of Pierce Community College in Woodland Hills, Calif.

He appeared in 11 games last season, recording six tackles and forcing one fumble.
