NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Head coach Matt Potter says the Oklahoma soccer team has added junior transfer Laura Rayfield to the roster for the 2014 fall season.

Rayfield joins OU after two seasons as a defender at Oregon State. Rayfield started 25 matches and appeared in 34 total contests for the Beavers.

As a sophomore in fall 2013, she started 17 matches at Oregon State, logging 1,388 minutes and scoring a goal against Washington State on Sept. 27. Rayfield took eight total shots and was named Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention.

Rayfield also saw action in her freshman season, starting eight matches and appearing in 15 total. She posted four shots (one on goal) and appeared in over 600 total minutes of game action as a true freshman.

She plans to major in chemical engineering.
