25: Jersey number of two of the most popular players in Oklahoma City Blazers history, George Dupont and Peter Arvanitis. They never played at the same time for the former Central Hockey League power, but they provided an equal number of fireworks in their own way that made them fan faves. Dupont, who played for the Blazers over four seasons, was a feisty centerman who helped make Joe Burton an OKC hockey legend. Arvanitis, who skated in OKC for seven seasons, did not produce the offensive numbers of Dupont, but at 5-foot-10 and 181 pounds, he was a tough player who provided security for Smokin' Joe. Combined, Dupont and Arvanitis contributed 202 goals, 539 points and 2,068 penalty minutes. Saturday night at the Cox Center, where they once starred, Dupont and Arvanitis sat a few rows apart while watching the Oklahoma City Barons beat Milwaukee. Dupont, who turns 45 in March, was escorting youngsters up the stairs. He noticed Arvanitis, who turns 38 in April, and stopped to say hello.
