College football: No. 1 USC hosts No. 5 Ohio State in an early season showdown at 7 p.m. Saturday on KOCO-5 (Brent Musburger, Kirk Herbstreit, Lisa Salters and Erin Andrews) and ESPN's "College GameDay,” 9 a.m. Saturday, will be in Los Angeles. Other top national telecasts include No. 2 Georgia at South Carolina, 2:30 p.m., KWTV-9, and No. 10 Wisconsin at No. 21 Fresno State, 9:30 p.m., ESPN2.

In Big 12 telecasts, No. 3 OU plays at Washington at 6:45 p.m. Saturday on ESPN (Mike Patrick, Mike Blackledge and Holly Rowe) and OSU hosts Missouri State at noon Saturday on Fox College Sports (DirecTV channel 617) (Kevin Eschenfelder and Richard Baldinger). No. 13 Kansas has a tough test at No. 19 S. Florida at 7 tonight on ESPN. Other Saturday telecasts include Nevada at No. 6 Missouri, 11:30 a.m., FSNSW, and SMU at No. 12 Texas Tech, 6 p.m., FSNSW.

NFL: KWTV-9 has an excellent Sunday doubleheader with Indianapolis (0-1) at Minnesota (0-1) at noon and New England (0-1) at N.Y. Jets (1-0) at 3:15 p.m.
