No. 1 Oklahoma State

Record: 45-16

Bid: Big 12 at-large

Notable: Big 12 Player of the Year Zach Fish missed the final three games of the conference tournament after suffering an ankle injury, but the Cowboys are hopeful he can return to the lineup Friday. … Jon Perrin is 7-4 with a 1.78 ERA in 91 innings (11 starts) this season. … The Cowboys won the Big 12 regular-season title before falling to TCU in the finals of the conference tournament Sunday. … Oklahoma State is 119-76 all-time against former conference rival Nebraska, 3-4 all-time against Fullerton and 3-0 against Binghamton.

Notable: The Cornhuskers are coached by former Big Eight Co-Player of the Year Darin Erstad, who was also a punter for the Cornhuskers football team. … After a 15-13 start, the Cornhuskers went 25-6 over the last two months of the season. … Nebraska is in the postseason for the first time since 2008. … Cornhuskers starter Chance Sinclair is 9-1 with a 2.29 ERA in 94 1/3 innings.

Bid: Big West at-large

Notable: The Titans are in the tournament for the 23rd consecutive season, the third-longest active streak behind Miami (42) and Florida State (37). … Titans coach Rick Vanderhook was suspended for 16 games this season as the school investigated “improper and unprofessional conduct.” … First baseman/relief pitcher J.D. Davis leads the Titans with a .338 average, .521 slugging percentage and .425 on-base percentage. He also has a 2.95 ERA in 181/3 innings pitched. … Fullerton won a regional at Stillwater in 1994, beating OSU 6-5 in 10 innings in the final.
