Oklahoma State baseball: Cowboys rally in sixth inning beat Rutgers

OSU scores four runs with two outs to take control. Mark Robinette improves to 4-0.

OMAHA, Neb. — Oklahoma State scored four runs in the sixth inning Friday afternoon and beat Rutgers 4-1 at the TD Ameritrade Baseball Classic at Ameritrade Park.

All of the Cowboys' runs came with two out as Tanner Krietemeier, Zach Fish and Robbie Rea delivered run-scoring singles. Fish's single scored two runs.

OSU pitcher Mark Robinette (4-0) threw six scoreless innings and tied a career-high with seven strikeouts. Rutgers, which stranded nine runners, scored an unearned run in the ninth inning.

Oklahoma State (29-11) has a doubleheader scheduled Saturday against former Big 12 foe Nebraska. The first game is set for an 11:05 a.m. start.
