Three-star point guard Tyree Griffin (Landry-Walker/New Orleans) is the latest Class of 2014 commitment to Oklahoma State.

Griffin (5-foot-10, 165 pounds) committed to the Cowboys on Thursday after previously being committed to UTEP, as reported by the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Griffin said that the departure of Stevie Clark played a role in his selecting the Cowboys.

"I knew once he left, that they really had a need for point guards so I jumped on it," Griffin told the Times-Picayune. "I looked at the roster, saw that I'd have a chance to play early over there so I said that might just be the place that I'll go."
