The Cowgirls created the wide distance during 20-2 run over a 10-minute span in the first half. Five players scored during the stretch, and OSU also switched to a zone defense to help prevent the Broncs' penetration to the basket while playing with four guards.
OSU led by 33 points at the break and by as many as 59 late in the second half.
The Cowgirls now have eight days off before hosting Texas State on Nov. 28. The players won't return to practice until Saturday night — after the Bedlam football game against Oklahoma — which will allow them to go home for Thanksgiving and heal their bodies.
“We've got some people that are a little beat up, a little hobbled right now,” Littell said. “We need to let them get healthy and take care of themselves.”
