Former Oklahoma State forward Kamari Murphy is headed to Miami and will have two years of eligibility remaining with the Hurricanes.

Murphy, who is from Brooklyn, N.Y., was thought to have been eyeing a school closer to home, but instead will become Miami coach Jim Larranaga's third transfer from the Big 12 in two years.

Murphy averaged just over 6 points and 6 rebounds last year for the Cowboys.
