Oklahoma State basketball: More details of Stevie Clark arrest

staff reports Published: January 2, 2014

A police report released by the Edmond Police Department Thursday morning stated that Oklahoma State basketball player Stevie Clark was rolling a blunt when he was pulled over as a passenger in a Wednesday traffic stop.

According to the report, Clark, a freshman guard at OSU, was stopped traveling north on Interstate 35 at 9:50 a.m. in a Toyota Camry on Wednesday morning. He and Marcus Caddell, the driver of the vehicle and a former classmate of Clark’s at Douglass High School, were driving to Stillwater when an officer initiated a traffic stop because the front seat passenger — Clark — was not wearing a seat belt.

Upon investigation, the officer saw small pieces of marijuana on Clark’s shorts and on the seat in between his legs. Clark reached into the passenger door and handed the officer a half-filled blunt. Caddell said that Clark was rolling the blunt for them to smoke.

The officer had Clark exit the vehicle and arrested at approximately 9:57 a.m., along with Caddell. A search of the vehicle revealed “more loose marijuana
in the passenger map pocket.”

Another unidentified occupant in the back seat of the car said that they group was taking Clark back to school in Stillwater. The unidentified passenger was released at the scene with the vehicle.

Caddell said that the marijuana belonged to him and that he handed it to Clark to roll a blunt so he and the unidentified passenger could smoke on the way to Stillwater. Clark and Caddell were each issued citations for possession of marijuana.
