Group mobilizes area voters

Oklahoma County residents are being asked to meet the Saturday before Election Day in northeast Oklahoma City to march together to the Oklahoma County Election Board to cast their general election ballots. “United We Stand” is a diverse, nonpartisan voter mobilization event. Any qualified Oklahoma County voter is encouraged to join the coalition. Participants will gather at 9 a.m. Nov. 3 at the Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church, 1020 NE 42, for a short program, then walk together for about a half-mile west on NE 42 to the Oklahoma County Election Board, 4201 N Lincoln Blvd., to cast their ballots. Transportation will be provided from the church to the election board for those unable to walk the distance. To vote in the Nov. 6 general election, Oklahoma voters must be registered by Oct. 12.
