OSU football recruiting: Cowboys pick up late signee in juco defensive tackle Ofa Hautau

FROM STAFF REPORTS Published: February 6, 2013

Oklahoma State landed an uncommitted signee Wednesday morning when defensive tackle Ofa Hautau from Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, filed his letter of intent with the Cowboys.

Hautau, 6-foot-1, 290 pounds, has had an offer from OSU for a while, along with offers from Oregon State, Utah and Hawaii.

His signing isn't necessarily a response to receiver Fred Ross' flip to Mississippi State on Tuesday night. OSU coaches had been pursuing Hautau prior to Ross' decision, and the Cowboys could still be pursuing another offensive option.
