Oklahoma State depth chart update: Reshuffled offensive line and more

by Gina Mizell Published: August 31, 2013

Oklahoma State did not release a new depth chart with its weekly game notes last week. But the packet the media received upon arriving at Reliant Stadium included an updated chart, with several intriguing switches and additions.

The most notable come on the offensive line, after Devin Davis’ season-ending knee injury. Here’s a rundown of those changes.

*Parker Graham moves back to left tackle, the position he started 11 games last season. Junior college transfer Brandon Garrett is the new backup there, moving from backup right tackle.

*Chris Grisbhy, who has played in two games in his OSU career so far, is the new starter at right guard. Zac Veatch, who had been working at center, is the backup at that spot.

*Redshirt freshman Michael Wilson is the new backup at left guard, behind Brandon Webb. Wilson was previously listed as the backup left tackle.

*Travis Cross replaces Veatch at as the backup center, and Paul Lewis, who was listed as the backup left guard, is behind Veatch.

*True freshman Zachary Crabtree is the backup right tackle behind Daniel Koenig.

Got all that? Joe Wickline doing what Joe Wickline does.

Other interesting tidbits:

*OSU is now listing all four receivers as “wide receivers” rather than “wide” and “inside” receivers. The starters there are listed as Charlie Moore-Josh Stewart-Tracy Moore-Austin Hays. It was previously Charlie Moore-Stewart-Blake Jackson-Tracy Moore. Behind the starters are Brandon Sheperd-David Glidden-Jackson-Jhajuan Seales. True freshman Marcell Ateman is listed as a third-teamer behind Hays and Seales.

*Tyler Johnson and Jimmy Bean are listed as the starting defensive ends. Trace Clark and Emmanuel Ogbah are behind Bean, and junior college transfer Sam Wren is behind Johnson.

*Junior college transfer Ofa Hautau is listed as Calvin Barnett’s backup at defensive tackle, jumping over Davidell Collins.

*Lyndell Johnson is listed as Daytawion Lowe’s backup at free safety, rather than Shamiel Gary’s backup at strong safety. Larry Stephens and Zack Craig are behind Gary.

*Tyler Patmon is listed as Justin Gilbert’s backup at at cornerback. Kevin Peterson is in the starting spot opposite Gilbert.
