STILLWATER — A crucial recruiting weekend saw immediate results for Oklahoma State, with Tucker (Ga.) safety Kirk Tucker committing to the Cowboys.

“I've enjoyed this whole time at OKST!” Tucker posted on his Twitter account late Saturday. “I just finished talking to Coach Gundy and I've decided to become a Cowboy!! #Go Pokes!!”

Tucker, who is rated a three-star prospect by Rivals, was originally committed to Stanford but was not admitted to the school. He also considered Oregon and Vanderbilt, according to Rivals.

Tucker is the second safety commitment in the 2014 class, joining Jenks' Dylan Harding. And that is a position where the Cowboys could need immediate contributors in 2014, as Daytawion Lowe, Shamiel Gary and Zack Craig are all departing seniors.

Lyndell Johnson will be a senior in 2014, while Deric Robertson and Jordan Sterns both played as true freshmen this past season. Fellow 2013 signee Tre Flowers redshirted.

Tucker is the 27th commitment of OSU's 2014 class, which means, barring any late switches, this group is all but sealed up as we move closer to Signing Day on Feb. 5.
