OSU vs. No. 1 Florida St.

When: 7 p.m. Saturday

Where: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas

TV: ABC (Cox 8, HD 705; Dish 5; DirecTV 5; U-Verse 5, HD 1005).

Radio: KXXY-FM 96.1

Scouting Florida St.

Last year’s record: 14-0, 8-0 in the ACC.

Best player: Quarterback Jameis Winston led the Seminoles to the 2013 national championship, winning the Heisman Trophy along the way. He passed for 4,057 yards and 40 touchdowns, completing 66.9 percent of his passes. And he’s just a sophomore.

The case for Florida State: An 18-point favorite and the strong favorite to post a national title repeat, the Seminoles return 15 starters and have as many as six players projected to be picked in next year’s NFL Draft.

The case for Oklahoma State: The Cowboys are young and hungry. And there’s a chance FSU could be fat and uninterested, as history has proven how difficult it is to repeat as champs. OSU appears potentially good enough on offense, too, to make some noise.
