Oklahoma State defensive tackle Calvin Barnett on Monday pleaded guilty to driving under suspension, speeding and failing to register a vehicle within 30 days of purchase and received deferred sentences.

Two other driving under suspension charges, as well as a charge for driving without insurance, were dismissed.

Barnett had to pay a $200 fine, plus other court and traffic costs and fees.

Barnett was first charged in May with driving under suspension (twice), speeding, driving without insurance and failing to register a vehicle within 30 days of purchase. He was then charged in October with driving under suspension.

Barnett started every game for the Cowboys this season and was named the Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year by the league's coaches. He finished the regular season with 29 tackles (7.5 for loss), one sack, four quarterback hurries and one pass break-up.
