Oklahoma State football: Catching up with the Cowboys' 2010 coaching staff

Glenn Spencer is the only assistant coach who joined the Cowboys before the 2011 season. Let's go back four years and check in on where the other 2010 Cowboy staff members are today.

Replaced by: Glenn Spencer at defensive coordinator, Joe Bob Clements at defensive line coach.

Associate head coach/special teams coordinator/safeties: Joe DeForest

Left OSU for: West Virginia, where he was hired by Holgorsen to be the Mountaineers' defensive coordinator following the 2011 season.

Currently: Still with West Virginia, though he was demoted to special teams coordinator following a disastrous 2012 season where the Mountaineers had one of the worst defenses in college football.

Replaced by: Van Malone at safeties coach, graduate assistant Ty Linder at special teams coordinator

Offensive line coach: Joe Wickline

Left OSU for: Texas, where he joined longtime friend Charlie Strong's staff as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach last month.

Currently: Preparing for his first season in burnt orange.

Replaced by: Bob Connelly, who was hired by OSU last week.

Wide receivers coach: Gunter Brewer

Left OSU for: Mississippi, where he became associate head coach, passing game coordinator and receivers coach on Houston Nutt's staff for the 2011 season.

Currently: The passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach at North Carolina, where he has been reunited with fellow former Cowboy assistant Larry Fedora.

Replaced by: Kasey Dunn

Inside receivers coach: Doug Meacham

Left OSU for: Houston, where Tony Levine hired him as offensive coordinator following the 2012 season.

Currently: The offensive coordinator at TCU, after Gary Patterson hired him for that post in December.

Replaced by: Jason Ray

Running backs coach: Robert Gillespie

Left OSU for: West Virginia, where he joined Holgorsen on staff following the 2010 season.

Currently: The running backs coach at Tennessee, where he's about to enter his second season.

Replaced by: Jemal Singleton

Cornerbacks coach: Jason Jones

Left OSU for: Mississippi, where Hugh Freeze hired him just before spring practice began last year to be the co-defensive coordinator and cornerbacks coach.

Currently: About to enter his second season in Oxford.

Replaced by: Tim Duffie, who was added to the staff as safeties coach while Van Malone switched to cornerbacks.
