Oklahoma State football: Charlie Moore says Cowboys knew all week Clint Chelf would start at QB

Charlie Moore caught two passes for 16 yards against Iowa State, but one was a leaping circus grab in the corner of the end zone for a touchdown.

After the game, he talked about that play, quarterbacks Clint Chelf and J.W. Walsh and the Cowboys' passing game woes in the 58-27 win.

Can you describe your touchdown catch?

“It was just a goal-line fade (route). It was actually an out route, and we converted it because the cornerback was (playing press coverage). Clint (Chelf) just threw it up there and gave me a chance to make a play, and I came down with it, so it was fun. I didn't know if they were gonna review it or anything. I could tell the referee, he was right there beside me. When I caught it, I knew I was in, so I was already getting pumped up. But sometimes it's kind of hard to tell, so I was just celebrating with the guys and just pointing at the big screen, just to prove to them that I caught it, that I got in there.”
