Oklahoma State opened its doors for fans –and recruits – to the Orange Blitz on Saturday.

The blitz continued Sunday, with the Cowboys picking up a 2015 commitment from running back Ronald Jones, a four-star recruit from McKinney North High School in McKinney, Texas.

Jones, who attended Saturday’s practice/scrimmage, told GoPokes.com that after recently narrowing his list of schools to eight, OSU had emerged No. 1.

“I knew because I felt the most at home there with my experience,” Jones told the website. “I had the best relations with the coaching staff up there. It was just the best of everything for me.”

Jones, a 6-foot, 185-pound runner ranked as the nation’s No. 10 running back by Scout.com, ran for 2,406 yards and 39 touchdowns as a junior a year ago, averaging 9.9 yards per carry.

He held scholarship offers from a long list of schools, including Alabama, Auburn, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio State, USC, Texas A&M and more. Jones told GoPokes.com that he requested a meeting with OSU coach Mike Gundy to inform him that he wanted to commit to the Cowboys.

Jones brings OSU’s commitment list to three, joining Norman North quarterback John Kolar and Midland, Texas, offensive tackle Johnny Wilson.
