Wide receiver Dez Bryant was relaxing on the sideline during the third quarter of the Dallas Cowboys’ date with the Miami Dolphins’ on Saturday night.
So the local TV broadcast crew had the former Oklahoma State star on for a quick interview. When Bryant was asked about quarterback Brandon Weeden, he told a classic story of the first time they met in Stillwater.
Bryant: “The first time I seen Weeden, it was like 7 o’clock in the morning and we (were) putting up for our first workout. I knew he was a lot older than us, 21, and I see him pull up in a 745 BMW. I was like, ‘Man … (laughter.)”
Announcer: “How did he get that car?”
Bryant: “Right, right, that’s exactly what I was thinking. Then one of the guys told me he played baseball.”
Bryant and Weeden were teammates at Oklahoma State from 2007 to 2009.
