Oklahoma State football: Mike Gundy addresses Bill Young's departure

By Gina Mizell Published: July 30, 2013

Former Oklahoma State defensive end Naim Mustafaa has found his new college football program.

Mustafaa, a four-star signee and early enrollee from OSU's 2013 class who left the Cowboys after spring practice, plans to transfer to Hawaii, he told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

Mustafaa told the newspaper he has accepted a scholarship offer and applied to the school but is still awaiting acceptance. Hawaii players begin reporting to fall camp Wednesday, while the Rainbow Warriors' first practice will be held Friday.

Mustafaa was considered one of the top grabs of OSU's 2013 class. He was also a surprise get, as he was a longtime Georgia commitment before switching his pledge to the Cowboys just before enrolling at the school in January. Mustafaa did not return to OSU for summer workouts, Gundy said during Big 12 Media Days last week. Gundy did not go into detail on why Mustafaa left the program.

Mustafaa would need to sit out the 2013 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
