As far as running back Joseph Randle is concerned, it's just another example of Gundy being a player's coach.

“You can play for somebody, but it doesn't mean you respect them as a coach and a person,” Randle said. “But Coach Gundy is definitely somebody that you can look at and you respect him. He cares about his players.

“He's always good for a couple of random things. And I think it'll pay off for us next week.”

 COWBOYS BOUNCING BACK, AGAIN

Saturday's setback marked OSU's fourth loss of the season. After the previous three, the Cowboys always had a positive response: a win.

Now they're pressed to do it again, after Saturday's difficult setback in Norman.

“It's just something that we have to put behind us,” said offensive lineman Lane Taylor. “This year, we've done a great job of bouncing back after Arizona, Texas and Kansas State.

“This team has already dealt with this situation, and we'll be able to put it in the past.”

After losing at Arizona, the Cowboys beat Louisiana-Lafayette. Following Texas, they won at Kansas. And after falling at Kansas State, they beat West Virginia.
