Oklahoma State football notebook: Rob Glass' offseason program vital to Cowboys success on offensive, defensive lines

Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy often raves about the offseason workout program administered by Rob Glass, and this spring is no exception. Here’s an example.

“The offensive linemen look different,” Gundy said. “Zachary Crabtree is developing some, and Vili Leveni is developing on the defensive line. You see a few guys that you think have developed enough that you feel like might be able to help you out early in the season. Others might take a little longer and you talk about them helping you in games six through 13…

“Rob Glass could very well be the most important person in our program. Our strength and conditioning allows us to be hands-on with our players all year round. Coaches have limitations on how much we can be with our team. The discipline, structure and work ethic that he instills in our players starts the ball rolling and creates an identity for us in the offseason.

“This team is just starting to figure out who they are, and it starts with Rob Glass and what he brings to the table.”


Offensive tackle Daniel Koenig will spend his summer the same way he’s spent the last four summers — in Stillwater, going to school and working out. But Koenig, the third of three brothers to start on the Cowboy offensive line, will get to spend much of May at home in Cape Coral, Fla.
