Oklahoma State football: OSU has spent $165,000 on investigation of football program

Oklahoma State has spent $165,000 on an independent investigation triggered by a 2013 series of Sports Illustrated articles about the school's football program; and an NCAA investigation could last a few more months, a school spokesman said Monday.



In September, Sports Illustrated published a five-part series titled "The Dirty Game" and OSU immediately responded by saying it would conduct an investigation into claims made in the report. OSU athletic director Mike Holder also said in September that the NCAA would be investigating.
