Oklahoma State football recruiting notebook: Running back Altee Tenpenny still planning visit
Though Altee Tenpenny is verbally committed to Alabama, he appears to be a valid target for the Cowboys.
With only one committed running back in the class so far, the Pokes wouldn't mind adding at that position, and though Altee Tenpenny is verbally committed to Alabama, he appears to be a valid target.
Alabama currently has five verbal commitments at running back in the 2013 and 2014 recruiting classes, not to mention the young talent already on campus. Freshman T.J. Yeldon leads the Tide in rushing yards this season.
While he remains committed, Tenpenny has his eyes open. Rated by Rivals.com as the No. 4 running back in the country, he has been to Arkansas multiple times, and still intends to visit Oklahoma State.
“I know I will visit Alabama, Arkansas and Oklahoma State,” Tenpenny told TideSports.com recently. “Alabama knows where I stand. They know I will take an official visit there. My commitment is firm though. They know that.”
POKES EYEING JUCO LINEMEN
An area where the Cowboys have found some success with junior-college prospects in recent years has been in the trenches.
Though the Cowboys have all high school players among their 16 commitments for the 2013 class, they could look the junior-college direction for a player or two.
OSU has offers out to only about a half-dozen uncommitted junior-college players, primarily to receivers and defensive linemen.
