OSU has gained a commitment to the 2013 class, with Texas prep safety Tre Flowers becoming the Cowboys' 18th pledge, according to GoPokes.com.

Flowers, a 6-foot-3 standout at Converse Judson, had been committed to Arizona State, but flipped to the Cowboys after de-committing from the Sun Devils earlier in the week.

“I'm really through with recruiting,” Flowers told GoPokes. “I've committed to Oklahoma State. I had a talk with my family and we all decided that this was the best thing for me.”

In other recruiting news, GoPokes also reported that OSU remains in the mix for Arkansas high school running back Altee Tenpenny, a current Alabama commit.

A four-star recruit and the nation's No. 13 running back by Scout, Tenpenny plans to make an official visit to OSU. There is speculation he could change his commitment, with the Crimson Tide also holding commitments from two other touted backs.

ELKINS IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT

Cowboys linebacker Alex Elkins seems comfortable in his own skin.

And pajamas.

During Monday's session with the media, Elkins arrived in his pajama pants, which were covered in a candy cane design.

“The season to be jolly,” Elkins said, flashing a wide grin.

He said he even wears them to class.

“It's not really about the way I look, I'm not really worried about that,” Elkins said. “It's about how I feel. And I feel pretty good wearing these bad boys.”
