Oklahoma State football: What Florida State brings into its 2014 opener against OSU

By Gina Mizell Published: January 7, 2014

Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston, for starters.

The Seminoles could return as many as eight offensive starters, depending if receivers Kelvin Benjamin and Rashad Greene, tight end Nick O'Leary and/or offensive lineman Cam Erving declare for the NFL Draft.

Either way, Florida State had three running backs who rushed for at least 500 yards and eight scores in 2013, as well as tons of athletic threats at receiver.

And did we mention Winston is returning?

Florida State loses Thorpe Award finalist Lamarcus Joyner and, most likely, defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan.

But returning should be a strong group of pass rushers — 17 Seminoles recorded a sack this season — along with third-leading tackler Terrance Smith.
