Oklahoma State football: What players, coaches were saying after OSU's win
Here is a look at what players and coaches were saying after Oklahoma State's 59-21 win over Texas Tech:
OSU coach Mike Gundy on the team's complete performance: “I mentioned last week we were good in all three phases. I think we were better (Saturday).”
OSU offensive coordinator Todd Monken on the offense's success: “The biggest thing today is we didn't turn it over. I think that this is the first time this year that we didn't have a turnover. If you play good football, make explosive plays and don't get penalties, then you have a chance to score points.”
Gundy on Clint Chelf being named the starting quarterback for Bedlam: “I don't think there's any question that Clint deserves to play and start in our next football game. He's earned that. Our coaching staff believes in him. The team believes in him.”
Texas Tech coach Tommy Tuberville on giving up big plays: “We're trying to stop the run. You've got to take your choice on what you want to do. Sunday and Monday going into the game, we said if we can keep them to one big play, we'll be in good shape. We'll stop the run, control them on third downs and go into zone coverage, and it just got away from us. They made a lot of big plays.”
