Oklahoma State picked up its 23rd commitment of the 2014 class earlier this week when Dallas Pinkston defensive end Trey Carter pledged to the Cowboys, according to Scout and Rivals.

Carter, who is rated a four-star prospect by Scout and a two-star prospect by Rivals, had more than 10 offers, including Arizona State, Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Miami, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, TCU, Tennessee and Washington State.

Carter is OSU’s third defensive end commitment of the class, joining Tulsa Washington’s Jordan Brailford and Muenster (Texas) Muenster’s Cole Walterscheid.

OSU loses one defensive end, starter Tyler Johnson, after the 2013 season.
