Oklahoma State picked up two conference individual awards Monday, as linebacker Shaun Lewis was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week and kicker Ben Grogan took the same honor for special teams for their performances against Kansas State.
Lewis led the Cowboys with eight tackles and recorded a forced fumble, fumble recovery and interception in the Cowboys’ 33-29 victory. Grogan went 4-of-5 on field goal tries, though the one he missed was blocked and returned for a touchdown.
Lewis and Grogan are the fourth and fifth OSU players to earn Big 12 weekly awards this season, joining Caleb Lavey, J.W. Walsh and Josh Stewart.
