Oklahoma State men's basketball notebook: Slow week ahead for Cowboys
Semester finals will force OSU to cut back on practice schedule. Cowboys get Sunday and Monday off. “I don't like this week,” coach Travis Ford said. “It's a tough week mentally for the guys, and us as well.”
Due to finals week, the Cowboys will peel back their practice schedule.
Coach Travis Ford said he'd give the team Sunday and Monday off, then try to find days and times to accommodate the schedules of the players from that point on.

“I don't like this week,” Ford said, surely echoing the thoughts of all students. “It's a tough week mentally for the guys, and us as well.
“I gave the guys the finals speech, ‘This week you can turn a C to a B, or a B to an A. It can go the other way, too.'”
Further complicating matters, OSU won't have Gallagher-Iba or their practice gym available Friday or Saturday, due to graduation. The Cowboys will practice instead at the Colvin Center, an on-campus health club facility for students; or Stillwater High. They've also gone to Langston in years past.
Markel Brown will be undergoing surgery to remove his wisdom teeth and missing four or five days.
“You don't usually get a whole lot better this week, but hopefully we can sustain,” Ford said.
