Fund is made
to aid family
The funeral for slain parole officer Jeffery Matthew McCoy will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at CrossPointe Church, 2601 24th Ave. SE. McCoy, 32, of Norman, was killed in the line of duty Friday in Midwest City. He leaves behind his wife and two children, ages 7 and 4. The Jeffery McCoy Memorial/Children's Scholarship Fund has been set up at BancFirst, 1201 W Main St., for the benefit of the children. The Corrections Department reports several bogus memorial funds are listed on the Internet, attempting to collect funds.

Authorities still haven't found the body of 19-year-old Tyler Woolley, who the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports drowned Saturday near McFadden Cove Marina on Kaw Lake. The report states Woolley jumped from the back of a boat being operated by Brandon Hartsfield, 30, of Lahoma, wearing a child-sized life jacket. While swimming, Woolley let go of the life jacket, became distressed and began yelling for help. James Goodman jumped off the back of the boat to assist Woolley, according to the report. Goodman, 19, of Enid, was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa for injuries to his legs.
