PERFECT NIGHT FOR DEL RIO

Quarterback Luke Del Rio, who is committed to OSU, hasn't been asked to throw much lately with his Valor Christian (Denver, Colo.) squad rolling off a string of five straight wins of at least 40 points.

So Del Rio took full advantage of his opportunities in Friday's 49-7 win over Doherty of Colorado Springs. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound senior was 12-of-12 passing for 196 yards and four touchdowns.

Del Rio has thrown more than 20 passes once in the last five games. For the season, he has completed 67.4 percent of his passes for 1,094 yards with 12 touchdowns and two picks.
