Oklahoma State recruiting notebook: Cowboys still pursuing running backs

With Corion Webster of Atlanta, Texas, as the only true running back currently committed, the Oklahoma State coaching staff has continued to keep an eye on other players they could add at the position.

Altee Tenpenny of North Little Rock, Ark., remains atop that list, but he hasn't yet backed out of his commitment to Alabama. And if he does, the Pokes will be in for a fight with new Arkansas coach Bret Bielema, who is going hard after the 6-foot, 210-pound back.

Tenpenny has said he would visit Stillwater, but that isn't a certainty at this point.

With the ongoing coaching movement across the country, expect Cowboy coaches on the lookout for other players who could be looking to back out of commitments.

Another name the OSU staff has been keeping tabs on is Jenks running back Trey'Vonne Barr'e, who was named The Oklahoman's All-State Offensive Player of the Year last week.

Coach Allan Trimble said that the major programs in the state, as well as others across the country including the likes of Oregon, have been showing interest in Barr'e, who would be a versatile player at the next level.
