Fred Ross, Oklahoma State's top-rated verbal commitment in the 2013 recruiting class, went wild in a playoff rout.

Ross, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound receiver for Tyler (Texas) John Tyler High School, caught six passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns in a 77-20 win over Waxahachie in the Texas bi-district playoffs.

Ross was rated No. 176 in the latest ESPN 300 recruit rankings, and No. 273 in the new Rivals 250, which was released last week. He was the only OSU commit on that list.

SAMPLES KEYS SKYLINE VICTORY

OSU commitment Ra'Shaad Samples scored a crucial touchdown to spark Dallas Skyline to a 35-14 win over Plano Friday night in a Texas Class 5A Division I bi-district game.

Samples caught a short pass and zipped through a couple of tacklers for a 22-yard touchdown that put Skyline up by three scores.

The 6-foot, 170-pound receiver who had offers from a variety of top programs around the country is the only OSU commitment currently scheduled to play in the Under Armour All-America game in January. Earlier this month, he was presented with his jersey for the game.

“It feels indescribable. I'm still kind of in shock,” Samples said after the jersey presentation. “I don't think it'll really hit me until I get to the game. It's like a dream come true.”

WEBSTER STRONG ON THE GROUND

Still the only running back commitment in OSU's 2013 class, Corion Webster has been a sparkplug for his Atlanta, Texas, squad lately.

He rushed for 272 yards and two touchdowns a week ago in a 41-28 win to help Atlanta earn a playoff berth, and the 5-foot-11, 185-pound senior went off again in the first round Friday.

Webster rushed for 159 yards on just 13 carries as part of a 497-yard rushing performance for Atlanta in a 72-32 rout of Wills Point. For the season, Webster has 1,561 yards on 206 carries.
