Oklahoma State recruiting: Prep teammates Jesse Robinson, Vili Leveni will be teammates at OSU

The teammates from Hurst L.D. Bell might have opposite demeanors, but they bonded over the past three years during their head-to-head practice battles in the trenches.

“What I'm going to miss about them most is not only are they great football players and athletes, they've got great character and are just great leaders on our team,” Bell coach Mark Smith said.

Robinson and Leveni sat on the stage in their high school auditorium Wednesday while family and friends snapped photos.

Their differing personalities were on full display, with Robinson sporting a large orange Cowboy hat and Leveni a more subtle orange tie and black OSU cap.

They both flashed big smiles while throwing up the “Pistols Firing” sign together.

They'll get to do that together for years to come.

“It's going to be good to have somebody there that knows me, that I can count on to have my back,” Robinson said. “But then it's also somebody to push me, that's been here with me for three, four years just grinding out there.

“He knows how to push me to another level.”
