Oklahoma state softball tournaments to open Saturday due to weather; Class A and B baseball tournaments split up

The state baseball and fastpitch softball tournaments scheduled to begin Thursday in the Oklahoma City area were washed out by rains.

The Class 4A-B softball tournaments scheduled for ASA Hall of Fame Stadium won't begin until Saturday, when the first two rounds will be played.

Softball championship games will be played Monday.

The Class A and B baseball state tournaments have been split up.

The Class A tournament will start Friday at Dolese Park, with the semifinals and finals being played Saturday. The Class B tournament will begin Monday at Dolese Park, with the semifinals and finals played Tuesday.
