OSU 85, Kansas 80

The Cowboys jumped to a 14-point lead, KU rallied to take the lead, then OSU stormed back to snap the Jayhawks’ 33-game homecourt winning streak. Markel Brown scored 28 points and Marcus Smart had 25 points, nine rebounds and five steals, punctuating the performance with a victory-celebrating backflip on KU’s hallowed court.

Feb. 20, 2013

Kansas 68, OSU 67, 2 OTs

Nadir Tharpe sank the go-ahead basket with 16 seconds left, then Brown missed a jumper with seven seconds left, and KU ran out the clock. Smart fouled out midway through the second overtime. Brown led OSU with 20 points; Smart had 16 points but made just two of 14 shots.

Kansas 80, OSU 78

Kansas zipped to a 47-30 halftime lead, but the Cowboys roared back. Smart’s layup with 24 seconds left cut KU’s lead to four, and Phil Forte’s 3-pointer with 5.7 seconds cut the lead to one. But after Frank Mason made one of two foul shots, he stripped Le’Bryan Nash just before the Cowboy could launch a 3-point shot.

OSU 72, Kansas 65

Smart scored 20 of his 21 points in the second half, when the Cowboys overcame a 10-point deficit. Smart scored 12 points in the final 7:20. KU led 52-42 with 10:05 left in the game.
