Oklahoma State and Baylor staged an overtime thriller at Gallagher-Iba Arena two weeks ago, with the Bears notching a 69-66 victory on a transition and-1 layup by All-American Odyssey Sims.
It's already time for the rematch, with the Cowgirls and Bears tangling in Waco Sunday afternoon on national television.
Here are three things to watch as OSU attempts to knock off the Big 12 front-runners on their home floor:
Point Guard U
Sims and OSU's Tiffany Bias gave each other fits in the backcourt the last time these two teams met.
Sims, the nation's leading scorer at 30 points per game, needed 27 attempts to reach 17 points and forced multiple shots either in the lane or from the outside. She did, however, make the offensive and defensive plays at the end to lift Baylor to victory.
Bias, meanwhile, shot 5-of-16 — including a missed layup at the end of regulation that would have been the game-winner — and missed six free throws against the Bears.
This is still a prime point guard matchup. But with the way Bias and Sims fiercely defend on the perimeter, the winner could very well depend on the supporting casts.
