Seventy-one Oklahoma State players are from the state of Texas. Receiver Charlie Moore was particularly connected to the University of Texas growing up, as his parents and older brother all attended the school.

Moore estimates he went to about 15 Longhorn games at Royal-Memorial Stadium as a kid. He was a big Ricky Williams fan. He remembers being in the stands when Cedric Benson made his Senior Night run around the stadium. He calls Austin a “great city.”

But now everyone in the Moore household has traded their burnt orange for bright orange.

“As soon as Oklahoma State was in the picture and the opportunity to play football here, there wasn’t any question (where I would go to school),” Moore said. “The best thing about it now is my brother and both my parents are big Cowboy fans now. I know they’re not going to be rooting for Texas at all this week.”
