The deaths include two people older than 65: an Oklahoma County man and a Tulsa County woman. Also dead are a Garfield County woman and a Tulsa County man. The dates of death were not released, but state officials said they learned of them last week.

At least 38 Oklahomans have died of H1N1 this year.

There were 31 new hospitalizations reported last week. That’s down from 46 hospitalizations reported the previous week.

The virus peaked the week ending Oct. 17 with 181 new hospitalizations. Since then, visits to doctor offices and hospitals have steadily declined.

But officials warn that new H1N1 cases are still occurring, along with the onset of seasonal flu this year. Vaccinations for both are recommended.

About 200,000 Oklahomans have been vaccinated so far for H1N1, state officials said.

U.S. health officials said there’s no evidence the swine flu vaccine is causing any serious side effects. They said the majority of reports have been for minor things like soreness, redness or swelling where the shot was given. From early October through mid-November, about 22 million people were vaccinated in the United States.
