Oklahoma teacher facing child sex, battery charges
CROMWELL — A 36-year-old Oklahoma high school teacher faces child sex and sexual battery charges in Seminole County.
CROMWELL — A 36-year-old Oklahoma high school teacher faces child sex and sexual battery charges in Seminole County.
Online court records show Russell Scott Walden was charged Monday with child sexual abuse, child abuse by sexual exploitation and sexual battery. Bond was set at $100,000.
Prosecutors allege that Walden made indecent proposals to a 16-year-old girl at Butner High School in Cromwell and exchanged explicit photographs her.
Walden's attorney, Ed Blau, says his client resigned from his teaching position over the weekend. Blau tells a local television station that his client does not have a prior criminal record.
Blau says Walden will be arraigned Tuesday.
