Oklahoma teen killed by train while jogging

WELCH – A teen jogging on train tracks in Craig County was killed when a train struck him on Sunday.

Mathew Logan T. Hankins, 16, was pronounced dead at the scene near First Street and U.S. 169 in Welch, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol collision report.

Hankins had been jogging southbound on the Union Pacific Railroad tracks when a southbound train hit him around 5:15 p.m., troopers said.
