Oklahoma tornadoes: Donation warehouse schedules hours to assist victims

The collection warehouse for people to drop off donations for tornado victims will not be open until 5 p.m. today.

Volunteers who organized the Oklahoma Donation Tweet-Up drive to benefit tornado victims will not be at the collection warehouse to accept donations until 5 p.m. today.

The relief effort will begin with an event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the collection warehouse, 25 NW 9. The warehouse will be open for people to drop off items or for tornado victims to receive them during certain hours through May 22, or until items run out. Warehouse hours are subject to change depending on needs and donations.

Hours are:

Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Sunday: Noon to 8 p.m.

Monday through May 20: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

May 21-22: Noon to 5 p.m.

Tornado victims must bring an insurance claim number to receive donations. People can also take donations to any Oklahoma Employees Credit Union metro location. Donations of furniture, clothing and personal hygiene items are needed.
