Lorson’s flight to Colorado was canceled, and with it her Christmas plans.

Lorson was planning to visit her two daughters and five grandchildren in Colorado Springs, Colo. It would have been the first time they were all together in a year, and Lorson had done extra duties at work to make sure she would get time off for the holidays.

She was devastated to learn the next flight she could get wasn’t until five days later, which was too late.

"I don’t know what I’m going to do,” Lorson said. "... I don’t want to be by myself on Christmas.”

Hundreds of travelers had to revise their holiday plans when weather forced Oklahoma City-area airports to close and airlines to cancel flights Thursday.

Many travelers could not get other flights until several days later. Those who were able to get flights today wondered whether those flights would be delayed or canceled, too.
