Oklahoma troopers called to standoff in Paoli

PAOLI, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has been called to assist in a standoff with a shooting suspect who is barricaded in a home in Paoli.

OHP Trooper Betsy Randolph says the Garvin County Sheriff's Office asked for the OHP tactical team about 11:45 a.m. Monday. Randolph said she has no further details about the fatal shooting and standoff.

The Garvin County sheriff did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment.

The small town is in northern Garvin County about 50 miles south of Oklahoma City.
