Oklahoma vs. TCU: Two bold predictions before Saturday's game

by Jason Kersey Published: October 5, 2013

NORMAN — Here’s the third and final pregame blog post from Ryan Aber and I. Here, we each make one bold prediction before Saturday’s game against TCU.

ABER: OU recovers two TCU fumbles and forces at least three turnovers overall

Last season, the Sooners didn’t do much in forcing turnovers. That’s turned around a bit this year but it really shows in this game, as the Horned Frogs struggle offensively once again and the Sooners’ opportunistic defense takes advantage.

KERSEY: Oklahoma will lead this game by four touchdowns entering the fourth quarter, but TCU will record a couple late scores to make the game seem closer.

TCU’s defense is one of the better units OU’s offense will face this season, but Blake Bell enters this game on a really impressive hot streak, and it’s a home contest. I think the Sooners will jump out to a pretty quick, early lead and hold a comfortable advantage most of the night. If that happens, Oklahoma could easily be undefeated heading into a huge, early-November Thursday night tilt at Baylor.
