MUSKOGEE —— An Afghanistan War hero who was arrested in connection with his uncle's shooting death in Porter was released from jail Monday because no charges have been filed, Muskogee County Assistant District Attorney Tim King said.

Maxx Robinson, 23, and his brother, Skyler Robinson, 28, were arrested April 2 in connection with the death of Bill "Bob" Cline, 57. Maxx Robinson was booked into the Wagoner County Jail without bail on a first-degree murder complaint; Skyler Robinson was jailed on an accessory-to-murder complaint.

The older brother was released on bond April 4. Because the state hasn't filed charges against Maxx Robinson, a judge was forced to release him from custody Monday, King said.
